What Managed IT Support provides

Managed IT Support gives your staff one place to go when technology gets in the way of work, and gives you one provider responsible for keeping the basics maintained. It covers the requests that fill a typical week in a small business: a laptop that will not connect, a new hire who needs an account, a printer that stopped scanning to email, an update that needs scheduling.

Pricing follows people rather than tickets. Each covered user is a named employee or contractor who can request support, together with the work computers and phone listed for them in your scope. That keeps the monthly cost predictable and removes any reason to hesitate before asking for help. Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint security, backup monitoring and network monitoring are separate components you can add, or buy together as a managed IT package.

Included every month

  • Help desk

Requests by email, phone or portal during agreed business hours, logged as tickets with the symptom, impact and resolution.

  • Device maintenance

Operating system and application updates on a schedule for each covered user’s listed computers, with inventory and health checks.

  • Joiners and leavers

Account creation and removal, device setup and return, and access changes handled from a consistent checklist.

  • Documentation and reviews

A maintained record of your environment and vendors, plus a quarterly review of tickets, risks and upcoming needs.

What a covered user includes

The written scope lists exact users and devices. These are the typical boundaries.

Covered

  • Support for the named user and their listed work computers and one mobile device
  • Remote troubleshooting of Windows and macOS, printers and common business applications
  • Patch and update management on covered computers
  • Coordination with your internet, phone and software vendors on the user’s behalf
  • Onboarding and offboarding of covered users
  • Quarterly service review with the business owner or manager

Not covered by the per-user fee

  • Hardware, software and Microsoft licence purchases
  • Projects such as office moves, server replacements or migrations
  • After-hours, weekend or holiday work unless written into the quotation
  • In-depth support of line-of-business applications beyond vendor coordination
  • Servers, network equipment and backup systems, which are scoped as separate components
  • Personal devices and home networks

Prerequisites

  • A written scope listing covered users, devices, business hours and escalation contacts
  • Completion of the IT Onboarding Package or an equivalent documented handover
  • Administrative credentials transferred securely to a managed vault
  • Installation of the remote management agent on every covered computer
  • Covered computers running an operating system version still supported by its manufacturer

Eligibility and minimums

  • Team size

Designed for organizations of roughly 5 to 200 employees. The proposed minimum is 5 covered users per organization.

  • Who counts as a user

Each person who can request support counts once, whether full-time, part-time or a regular contractor. Shared front-desk computers are listed as devices in the scope.

  • Location

Remote support across Canada. On-site visits in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Calgary are confirmed for each address in your scope.

Configuring your subscription

The only quantity is the number of covered users. At a proposed CAD 45 per user per month, a 20-person team would be estimated at CAD 900 per month before tax. This is a proposal pending business approval; your written quotation confirms the price after discovery.

When people join or leave, the user count is adjusted and the next monthly invoice reflects the change. Coverage hours, response targets and any on-site allowance are written into the quotation rather than selected at checkout. To add Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint security or monitoring, use the pricing calculator or choose a package.

Getting started

  1. Scope

We confirm users, devices, hours and the systems you rely on, and issue a written quotation.

  2. Onboarding

Through the IT Onboarding Package we document the environment, deploy management agents and collect credentials.

  3. Go-live

Staff receive instructions for requesting help and the subscription billing starts.

  4. First quarterly review

After about three months we review tickets and risks and adjust the scope where needed.

Subscription terms

Pricing and service terms are drafts pending business and legal approval and will be presented in full before checkout. Term length, notice period, response targets and coverage hours are set in your written quotation. Taxes are calculated at checkout. Documentation and credentials remain your property and are handed over if the service ends.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on how many requests we can make?

The per-user fee is designed for normal day-to-day requests within the scope. Work that is really a project, such as replacing a server, is quoted separately.

Does the price include Microsoft 365 licences?

No. Licences are purchased separately. Microsoft 365 Administration is an optional component for managing them.

Can we add users mid-month?

Yes. New users are supported from the day they are onboarded and reflected in the next monthly invoice.

What if we only need support for a few people?

The proposed minimum is 5 covered users. Smaller teams can discuss a scoped arrangement during a consultation.
