Hands-on IT help at your office when remote support isn’t enough

Some problems need a technician in the room: a failed switch, a new workstation, a printer that will not join the network, or an office move. We provide scheduled and as-needed on-site visits at confirmed addresses, with travel and visit terms written into your scope.

What on-site IT support means here

On-site support is the part of our service where a technician physically attends your premises. Most day-to-day issues are resolved faster through remote support, so on-site work is reserved for tasks that need hands on equipment: replacing or installing hardware, tracing network faults to a port or patch panel, setting up a new office or meeting room, and supporting staff through larger changes such as a device refresh.

We are precise about where and when this applies. On-site visits are offered in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Calgary, and we confirm availability for each specific address during scoping rather than assuming coverage. Our published Burnaby and Abbotsford addresses are contact addresses, not walk-in service counters. How many visits are included, how travel is handled, and what happens when an urgent visit is needed are all written into your proposal.

When businesses need someone on site

  • Physical failures

A switch, firewall, workstation or access point has failed, and the office is down until someone swaps or reconfigures it.

  • New equipment that nobody has time to install

Boxes of laptops, monitors, docks and printers sit in a corner because setting them up properly would take a staff member away from their job.

  • Network problems you can’t see remotely

Intermittent drops, unlabelled cables and mystery devices in a comms closet need physical tracing and documentation.

  • Moves, expansions and new sites

Opening a new office, rearranging desks or adding a meeting room requires planning and someone present on the day.

On-site capabilities

  • Hardware installation and replacement

Workstations, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners and peripherals installed, connected and tested.

  • Network equipment work

Firewall, switch and Wi-Fi access point installation or replacement, with existing configuration restored and documented.

  • Comms closet tidy and labelling

Patch cables traced, ports labelled and equipment documented so future remote troubleshooting is faster.

  • Meeting room and conferencing setup

Displays, cameras and Microsoft Teams Rooms or meeting devices set up and tested with your staff.

  • Device deployment days

Scheduled visits to hand out and set up new computers, migrate user files and collect retired equipment.

  • Office move support

Planning with your vendors, disconnecting and reconnecting equipment, and confirming everything works before staff return.

On-site scope and visit terms

On-site work is always tied to confirmed addresses and written visit terms. This is the usual starting point.

Typically included

  • Visits to confirmed addresses in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley or Calgary
  • Hardware installation, replacement and testing for covered equipment
  • Network equipment swaps and on-site troubleshooting
  • Scheduled deployment days for new devices

  • A visit allowance or per-visit terms set out in the proposal

Requires separate scope or quotation

  • Addresses that have not been confirmed as within the on-site service area
  • Structured cabling runs, electrical work or construction, which need licensed trades
  • Hardware, parts and licence purchases
  • Visits beyond the allowance, or outside agreed hours, unless written into your plan
  • Physical security systems such as alarms and access-control panels

Who on-site support is for

  • Offices with equipment on premises

Businesses in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley or Calgary with servers, printers and network gear that occasionally need hands-on work.

  • Clinics, shops and branch locations

Healthcare clinics, retail stores and multi-location businesses where front-line equipment has to work every day.

  • Organizations planning changes

Teams preparing an office move, a device refresh or a network upgrade that needs coordination on the day.

What you gain

  • Physical problems are fixed by someone who knows your environment
  • Staff are not pulled away from their work to unpack and configure equipment
  • Visit terms and travel are clear before anyone is dispatched
  • Equipment found on site is labelled and added to your documentation
  • On-site and remote support share one ticket history
  • Moves and refreshes are planned rather than improvised

How on-site support is arranged

  1. Confirm your addresses

During consultation we review each location and confirm whether it is within our on-site service area.

  2. Agree visit terms

The proposal sets visit allowances, scheduling, travel handling and how urgent visits are requested and billed.

  3. Remote first

Each issue is triaged remotely first, so the technician arrives with a diagnosis, the right parts and a plan.

  4. Scheduled visit

A technician attends at an agreed time, completes the work, tests with your staff and records the outcome.

  5. Document and follow up

Changes, serial numbers and photos of equipment are added to your documentation and the ticket is closed.

Ways to buy on-site support

On-site work is usually added to a recurring plan. Visit terms and pricing are confirmed in a written quotation.

Per-user support plans can include an on-site visit allowance for confirmed addresses.

  • Managed IT Business package

Support, Microsoft 365, security and network monitoring for offices with on-premises equipment.

  • Network Health Assessment

A fixed-scope review of your network that can include an on-site walkthrough of equipment and cabling.

Frequently asked questions

Is my office in your on-site service area?

We provide on-site visits in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Calgary, and confirm each specific address during scoping. Please share your addresses so we can confirm before you rely on on-site help.

Can I drop off a laptop at your Burnaby or Abbotsford address?

Those are published contact addresses, not walk-in service counters. Device drop-off or courier arrangements, if needed, are agreed in advance through the help desk.

How quickly can a technician come on site?

Visit scheduling and how urgent visits are handled are set in your written scope. We triage remotely first, which often resolves the issue before a visit is needed.

Do you run network cabling?

We trace, label and patch existing cabling. New cabling runs and electrical work are done by licensed trades, which we can coordinate.

How are travel and visits charged?

Visit allowances, travel handling and rates for extra visits are defined in your proposal and confirmed in a written quotation.
